Strategic Product Roadmap
An engineering team without a roadmap is like an army without a compass; no matter how strong they are, they are doomed to exhaust themselves fighting on the wrong front.
Documenting the vision for the next three years is the only way to bring technological chaos under control. A Strategic Product Roadmap is not just a simple Gantt chart listing "which features will be built." It is a time-bound military campaign plan where the company's vision aligns with technological and market realities. Without this map, the product development process is tossed around by the momentary winds of customer demands.
An effective roadmap strips away micro-level technical details and focuses on macro-level "Value Delivery." What problem will we solve in Q1? Which technological barrier will we break in 2026? The map must be flexible, not rigid. Roadmaps that cannot update their course in the face of a new disruptive technology will drive companies straight into a wall.
