Effective Delegation And RACI
A manager who carries the entire burden on their own shoulders for the sake of executing every task perfectly is not an operational hero; they are a one-person bottleneck obstructing the company's growth.
Delegation is not an escape mechanism employed by a leader merely to clear their desk, but the most fundamental engineering prerequisite for corporate scaling. Distributing tasks randomly based solely on talent or hierarchy causes responsibilities to linger in the air, resulting in projects vanishing into the void of "who was supposed to do this?". Transitioning the work culture from being personality-dependent to system-integrated requires embedding the ownership of every task and process within a clear matrix.
The RACI matrix is a deterministic tool that eliminates role ambiguity in complex projects. It clearly separates the person who actually executes the work (Responsible) from the person who bears the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the task's completion (Accountable). As a rule, while a task can have multiple executors (R), there must be only one accountable person (A). Otherwise, in the event of failure, responsibility dissipates and no one answers for it. The communication traffic is optimized by incorporating individuals whose expertise is sought prior to a decision (Consulted) and those who are simply kept up-to-date on progress (Informed).
